Advocacy

Linda Cross has a strong background of advocacy for the Visual Arts in the Local, State, National and International levels. Her experience teaching Visual Arts in private schools, public schools and art camps makes her a strong advocate for private, parochial and charter schools and other organizations.

Allowing Linda Cross to mentor your school, organization or company through private art lessons, workshops, curriculum writing or designing art exhibitions will catapult your establishment to the forefront of the community.

Linda Cross’ advocacy services fees range from $50 to $500 depending on the contracted services. Additional fees for supplies, travel and other charges may apply.

Private Art Lessons

Linda Cross has been teaching the Visual Arts for over thirty years;  teaching four-year-olds to adults. She is familiar with various types of art media, processes and tools as well as a plethora of knowledge of art trends and styles.

Rate starts at $40.00 per hour;

Art Exhibitions

With over thirty years of teaching experience, Linda Cross is adept at designing art exhibitions. Linda Cross will help or mat artwork for your Visual Arts teacher or department just as she has done throughout Dallas ISD, matting and preparing artwork for contests and exhibitions.

As a result of working with the Dallas Art Education Association and the Texas Art Education Association, Linda Cross has put together many art exhibitions for the local district, private schools and state Youth Art Month venues.

Services for designing and installing art exhibitions vary according to the exhibition. Many factors occur for art exhibitions ranging from matting artwork supplies, labor, installation and travel. Rental of display boards and stands will be extra.

Curriculum Writing

Linda Cross, as a public school educator has had the opportunity to write Visual Arts curriculum because of her extensive knowledge of the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills, (TEKS)  in the Visual Arts.

In 2017, Linda Cross received her Masters of Education from Belhaven University in Jackson, Mississippi, as a result, she gained knowledge in the Common Core Standards and the College and Career Readiness Standards. Linda Cross learned and applied many instructional strategies for core classes to her Visual Arts classes through her extensive research and writing of educational pedagogues.

Along with instructional strategies, she was able to learn various assessment strategies to help her students learn how to assess personal and public artworks through rubrics for personal studio pieces as well as a step by step art criticism process.

Linda Cross' extensive knowledge in instructional standards and strategies will benefit  your school or organization in creating and building a strong Visual Arts program and curriculum.
